Being a landlord means you have lots of responsibility for properties and of course the tenants who call your property a home. In your role as a landlord you should always ensure safety is a priority, especially where families are concerned. You are also required by law to stay within a number of regulations. By keeping on top of your property’s electrical needs you benefit both yourself and your tenants. Below we are going to discuss some of the ways AIO can help landlords in 2020.

New EICR Regulations

This year rules are becoming much stricter regarding the electrical testing landlords require in their properties. From 1st July, Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) will become mandatory in all properties before they are deemed safe for a tenant. These measures have been taken to ensure no properties with faulty or dangerous electrics are used for letting purposes. AIO offer routine 5 year or change of tenancy Electrical Condition Reports.
